Mission

To help established service businesses build predictable revenue, stronger positioning, and long-term enterprise value through government contracts and strategic growth systems.

Vision

To help business owners build companies that are profitable, resilient, and built to last, creating not only growth for today, but legacy for the future.

What We’re Building

We are building toward a bold and meaningful goal: helping clients secure $15 billion in contract wins by 2030.

Through smart strategy, stronger pursuit systems, and clear positioning, we help service businesses grow with more stability, more confidence, and greater long-term impact.

Melinda’s career began inside large organizations where she supported complex proposal efforts and growth initiatives for major projects.

Working within these environments gave her an inside view of how large contracts are actually won. Winning large contracts is rarely about luck or submitting more bids. The companies that win consistently follow a structured approach to positioning, intelligence, and execution.

Over time, Melinda began helping organizations refine those processes, improve their capture strategies, and increase their win rates.

In 2020, she launched her own firm with a clear mission: help service businesses pursue the private-sector and public-sector with the same level of strategy used by large enterprises.

Many companies approach government contracting reactively.

They register in systems, search for opportunities, and begin submitting bids without a clear strategy.

Melinda takes a different approach.

She believes government contracting should function as a growth engine, not a guessing game.

The goal is not simply to win a contract. The goal is to build a predictable pipeline of opportunities that align with a company’s strengths and long-term strategy.

This philosophy led to the development of her framework.

Melinda developed the GovCon Win Engine™ to help businesses pursue government contracts through a structured system rather than trial and error.

The framework focuses on four core stages: Decision, Direction, Drive, and Outcome.

Rather than chasing every opportunity, companies learn how to identify the right contracts, position strategically with buyers, and build repeatable systems for winning work.

The result is a contract pipeline that compounds momentum over time.

Melinda has supported companies across industries including:

  • Construction

  • Engineering

  • Consulting

  • Information Technology

  • Professional Services

Her work spans federal, state, and local government contracting, as well as large institutional procurement environments.

Through strategic advisory, capture planning, and proposal development, her clients have secured over $5.7 billion in contract awards since 2020.

Outside of her advisory work, Melinda is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build businesses designed for long-term stability and impact.

She is the host of the Legacy Builders Unleashed podcast and regularly speaks about strategy, growth, and the intersection of business and legacy.

Her work reflects a belief that businesses should be built intentionally, with systems that support both financial success and meaningful impact.
